Be Good to Your Feet!
Dr. Bean is wonderful, kind and caring and a great surgeon. I had what is called a Taylor’s bunion and bone spur. Dr Bean removed the bone spur and a nerve tumor and relocated the bone and everything went fantastic. His surgical team was awesome as well:) I have had very little pain the my foot is recovering very well. I am so happy with the outcome and prognosis!
Dr Bean is the best! He is one of the nicest, most patient, caring doctors that I have ever had. I needed to have foot surgery (bunion) and was very apprehensive about having it. Everyone that I’d ever spoken to, who’d had it done, said that it was the worst pain that they’d ever felt and that they didn’t recommend doing it. They told me to just wear comfortable shoes and forget the surgery. However, Dr Bean alleviated my fears and patiently answered any and all of my many questions. He never rushed me out of his office and always took the time to make me feel at ease and to explain every detail of the procedure. Dr Bean comes from a family of Podiatrists and knows his field well. I ended up having the surgery and was pleasantly surprised at how little pain I felt afterwards. I took the recommended pain pills for exactly two days after the surgery and then decided to discontinue taking them as I didn’t like feeling drugged. The worst part of the surgery, to me, was coming down from the medication given to me during the surgery. I’m not one to take prescription drugs, as I prefer natural methods. So, the after effects of the anesthesia were uncomfortable. The foot, however, never really hurt, except for an occasional random sharp pain once on a while. Nothing that I couldn’t bear, though. The swelling took a while to go down and it was difficult to get around for the first two weeks, but after that, I wore a special shoe/boot that was bulky, but manageable. Dr Bean was available to see me whenever I needed to speak to him or have him look at my foot. He was always very accommodating. According to Dr Bean, it is normal for the foot to continue swelling for a few months and it is best to relax and let it heal without trying to wear heels again or get back on it too soon. I plan to have the other foot done as soon as I can get the time off. I am very happy with the results of the operation and highly recommend Dr Bean for bunion surgery.
Dr. Arron Bean is magic! I remember when I was small and the doctors would come to your home-Dr Bean is so personable and caring he is at that level, beyond Excellent. I have been dealing with a foot/leg problem caused by a fall in San Diego Rehab after back surgery that NO other doctor’s could diagnose. Being in Physical Therapy for my back my leg/knee would give out. My Physical Therapist (whom is also excellent) came to the conclusion that PT had meant a peak that we could not go any further b/c of my leg problem. I went for XRay, MRI’s through other doctors and it was basically-its all in your head syndrome. The first doctor is a knee surgeon and he said-its just a sprain knee and takes a while to heal. A while went by for months and I was told by another doctor that it could be Tarsel Tunnel of which Dr Bean is about the only doctor in the Coachella Valley that does TT. I went to him-he went into detail with the anatomy of the ankle/leg and within one visit he said “I believe it is not only nerve damage in the ankle but since it goes up to your knee with other symptoms-Right Common Peroneal Nerve Entrapment” However no doctors here in the Desert that does this type of surgery-so on my way to Henderson Nevada to the Dellon Institute tomorrow.
I forgot to add- Dr Bean gave me a series of Cortizone shot’s in the area’s he suspected were the problems was and it gave me relief so he must be right on target! Plus the shots were given directly into the nerve and I was so uptight-but DID NOT HURT! That is the magic in my doctor for life!
THANK YOU DOCTOR BEAN 🙂
THE best in the valley!  I only wish he could be my doctor for everything.  A most incredible and caring doctor.  Thank you Dr. Bean, for everything you did.
After at least 10 years of suffering with serious hammertoes, I got to the point where I was unable to wear a shoe.  All non-surgical interventions no longer worked and I decided it was time to have surgery.  I found Dr. Bean during an Internet search and immediately made an appointment.  When he walked into the room, he struck me as kind and caring, as well as an expert in his field.  He spent as much time with me as I needed during our first encounter and answered all of my questions.  He saw me again a week before surgery just to make sure all of my questions were answered.  Dr. Bean performed hammertoe corrective surgery on all 5 toes of my right foot on July 10, 2015.  As of writing this review (2 1/2 weeks after surgery) I have 5 straight, beautiful toes and I am able to walk in my post op boot without any pain.  I am really looking forward to a real shoe soon.  From the beginning, Dr. Bean’s staff in the Eisenhower office have consistently been kind, patient, efficient and accommodating.  This may sound strange, but I am actually looking forward to having the same procedure done on my left foot done in October.
Dr. Bean, you are my hero!
I had a horrible experience with a local podiatrist and personally never wanted to go back to another one. However foot pain took over and I found myself in Dr. Beans  office. His staff is amazing. They were so pleasant. I think they could feel my anxiety because they put me right at ease. The staff and the Dr have an amazing bedside manner very relaxed and caring. I have found the right place. I would highly recommend. I would like to add that right now is the first time in 2 years I have been pain free with my foot problem. I am happy!
Dr. Bean and his team of nurse assistants are awesome.
I had an awful blister on the bottom of my foot for 6 months, and Dr. Bean ended up doing a surgery on my foot.
He’s super personable which I appreciate and he’s also down to earth. As a young person dealing with doctors all the time – that is key!
They’re also pretty techy – they use iPads to chart all your info, take pictures every time to stay updated. It’s great.
Dr. Bean is the best doctor I have ever had. He is very thorough and has always explained himself to me whenever I had questions. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that wants a doctor that cares about them and takes pride in their work.
I had seen 2 other Podiatrists in the period of 2 years who told me my foot problems were first and foremost from Plantars fasciatis which was correct. What they could not explain was why my big toes on the left foot was moving farther away from the 2nd toe and why it hurt to try and pull them together. the first doctor blew it off entirely and the 2nd doctor said I had nerve damage between the toes. She had no idea why. the first time I saw Dr. Bean he knew immediately. He had me schedule an MRI and sure enough I had a fatty tumor the size of a half dollar growing. 3 weeks after the first visit I was in surgery. the tumor was removed ( benign ) and he also released the Achilles tendon to treat the fascia pain. He is knowledgeable and kind. he even gave me his personal cell number to call night or day. I can not say enough about how wonderful he is.
Dr Bean recently did surgery on both my feet (neuromas). Today I am back to hiking and biking without pain. He is so patient. He answered all my questions and made sure I stayed on track during my recovery. He was there for me when I had questions about when I could return to my normal activities. He did a great job and I am so happy. I had the choice of other physicians but I made the right choice by choosing Dr. Bean. The office staff was so kind.
I have been patient of Dr. Aaron Bean for several years. He has operated on me twice, the first being a complicated ankle tendon repair as well as a foot surgery (bunion, hammer toe). Very successful operation, and the post op care I received from him was excellent. The second surgery was for the other foot, two hammer toes. It also went well. Dr. Bean is not only a skillful physician and surgeon…he is a great person. His caring and upbeat disposition comes across to his patients.  The only area that needs some change is scheduling the patients too close together. Often the wait time is too long.

Sally Ackerman
Dr. Aaron Bean got me back up and walking/running and playing ice hockey a few months after breaking my ankle playing hockey. Don’t let his youthful appearance fool you, he was an EXCELLENT surgeon who keeps up with the best medical advances. He was great!

On December 4, 2016, Dr. Bean performed corrective surgery for 5 hammertoes on my left foot. Again, 5 beautiful straight toes and a very successful surgery since I have returned to all normal activity including wearing shoes that I never thought I could wear again.
From the beginning, Dr. Bean’s nursing and office team have consistently been kind, patient, efficient and accommodating.
Both surgeries were done in the operating rooms of the Cosmetic Surgery Center of Palm Desert. What a wonderful experience. Prior to my first surgery, I had concerns about being some distance from a hospital. After speaking with operating room nurse, Cody and her co-worker, Rebecca, I was certain this is where I wanted my surgeries to be done. Everything in this facility is up-to-date, including all accreditations.

Dr. Bean, you are my hero…twice! Amanda and Tammy, you are the BEST!
Dr. Bean always treats us like family by explaining everything & answering all our questions .
I went to see Dr. Bean because I was having pain in my foot, specifically my instep. I was hardly able to walk 10 steps before I experience pain. Dr. Bean examined the ex-rays which were taken right there. He diagnosed the pain was the result of arthritis. He suggested I have a cortisone injection which I agree to.  After just a few days the pain was noticeably reduced  about 70%. I could walk about 1.5 miles with much less pain. I returned for my second visit to receive another injection for the remaining pain. I am very pleased with Dr. Bean and his staff.
Dr. Bean and his team are wonderful.
I fell about 35 years ago and broke every bone in my ankle. The older I got the arthritis set in and had awful pain could hardly walk. Went to Dr. Bean and he did an ankle replacement. From the day I had surgery I never had pain worse than an 1. Dr Bean and his staff are very caring and did everything they could to help me.
